These are funny birds. We have a lot of these in our yard. They make an impossible sound sometimes. Apparently the birds are arguing about something. Our manhole cover is their favorite place to hang out. We have a lot of birdhouses for birds in the yard. There are plenty of nesting places in the yard anyway. Birds are lovely.
In UK, Anne, these are known as Tree Sparrows. They used to be numerous, but, sadly, populations have dropped dramatically. It is a while since I last saw one. A very nice image to remind on of these delightful birds - thank you!
