What a beautiful photo. But when I look closely, I can see that the roads are white too, so they must be slippery. Is the snowfall so heavy that they can’t keep up with gritting, or do they not use salt or sand in your area? I love looking at photos like this, but I must admit I’m also glad the snow here has mostly gone. It was so deep and difficult for traffic, especially for my son who had to cycle through it.
It’s raining here now, while my daughter — who lives a bit further north in the Netherlands — has snow again. It happens so often: rain for us, snow for her. She even sent me little videos saying, “Look, Mom, we have lovely snow!” Good night!
It's wonderful that it snows there. Nature is much brighter. It was very cold when the picture was taken. The road was dry. The snow on the road is loose snow blown by the wind. The main roads here are kept sanded and salted. When the roads are like ice rinks, they bring sand to the roads.
