It's cold. The picture shows the otter's entrance, where it gets in and out of the water. Nice to see this! Usually if we get to see an otter, it's on the ice somewhere next to open water. This is the first time we've seen an otter's entrance.

The otters have been hiding from us last year and this year. They move around at times when we are not observing them.
