Ihmettelin eilen, mitä keltaisia tomaatteja oli ilmestynyt keittiön pöydälle. Ajattelin, että ne on meidän kasvihuoneesta tuotuja keltaisia minitomaatteja. Unohdin koko jutun.
Aamulla meidän nuori mies sanoi, että siinä on aprikooseja.
En enää muistanut että meillähän kasvaa aprikoosipuu. Luulin, että puuhun ei jäänyt yhtään hedelmää, kesän myrskytuulien ja kuivuuden takia.
Olipa yllätys, että muutamia hedelmiä on kasvanut kypsäksi asti.
Nämä hedelmät ovat miehelleni. Minä en niitä voi syödä. Viimeisen kerran, kun söin aprikoosia, luulin että henki lähtee, tulin niin kipeäksi.

VastaaPoistaThey reportedly taste like apricots (says my husband) and smell. I bought a tree from a garden store, there was a tag on the trunk that said apricot. There is a big stone inside the fruit. The flowers are also similar to apricots. The fruits usually don't have time to grow here when the cold comes. I don't know what they are, if the garden store's information is not correct. This tree has been an experiment to see if it can grow here. Grows well in a sheltered spot and produces a few fruits every now and then.
