I was thinking Elephant Hawk Moth Caterpillar. But google lens suggested Large Yellow Underwing Moth. It's a lovely caterpillar :-D
It looks pretty similar, the time of emergence of the larva seems to fit it.
I used an app for identification. It tells me it's a Noctua comes, but I don't know if it's right. Nice photo.
I found that picture online, the caterpillar looks exactly the same. That head also looks the same. Thank you very much!
Peridroma saucia esto me sale parecido.Un abrazo
That's Peridroma saucia apparently a random visitor here, it hasn't been reported to this area.
Can it be Noctua pronuba? It's a native Eurasian species with an extraordinarily huge range (even found in North America).https://www.bugguide.net/node/view/1342402
The caterpillar looks pretty similar. Noctua comes looks exactly like the one in our yard.
Uy. Te mando un beso.
Thank you very much!
You took good photos of it, and sorry but I can't help to ID it, Anne.
I guessed it was an elephant hawk-moth, but I’m no expert...It looks beautiful!!!
Butterfly larvae are truly fascinating! They don't look pretty, but they turn into absolutely beautiful butterflies.
Sorry, I don't know. Very cool looking.
