It is a fun photo, Anne, but is it is a bit worrying for the future of the tree? We have a tree that has had the bark torn off some of the major branches, and those branches are now dead. I think that a squirrel was responsible for the damage.Best wishes - - - Richard
I think our linden suffers from bark removal. There is also a woodpecker knocking in the same tree.
